| A small bench/stool from 8th grade shop (1982-83). I think it was made out of pine or some other soft wood,
and finished with poly, but it's been quite a while. |

Shaker style bedside table
I made this based on pictures from one of Norm Abram's New Yankee Workshop books. It just
needs a knob for the drawer, some finish sanding and some stain + poly and it'll be complete.
It uses/features:
- tapered legs, which required building a taper jig
- mortise+tenon to join the top ends to the rest of the top
- mortise+tenon to join the legs and sides
I also played with the drawer quite a bit before I decided to use some oak corner moulding as the bottom drawer guides.
There are probably better ways to do this

Rolling Tool Cabinet
The plans for this came from the April 2003 issue of Wood Magazine. It's essentially unchanged from the plans, except:
- I used a shelf pin jig, and L-shaped shelf pins instead of the metal shelf riser + brackets they recommended. It's
cheaper (except I had to buy the Vix bit
- $$$)
- I couldn't find any 1/2" birch plywood, so it's completely made out of 3/4"
- I used 3" casters instead of 4". The 3" holds like 175lbs a piece (6 x 175 = 1050), which should be plenty strong.
It was a good learning experience. Since I had been out of woodworking for so long, I probably should have picked a smaller
project to come back up to speed. I'll be making one for my dad next.
